Sega Dreamcast

NTSC-J - HKT-3000

November 27, 1998

I don’t need to beat a dead horse in telling you how important or fantastic this system is. Sega’s swan song was as a good a way as any to say sayonara to the console market. A love letter to fans of the medium worldwide, this system boasts one of the most unique line ups across any console generation. And this was done in only two and a half years. The amount of risks taken in new IP’s and off the wall idea’s are sprinkled through out this console’s short lifespan. Neither the risks taken or their inclusion of an Ethernet port were enough to save Sega from themselves unfortunately.

This is the most video-gamey - video game console of all time. If you are a fan of video games and fun in general, you owe it to yourself to find a way to play some of the games from the Dreamcast library. Shenmue, Crazy Taxi, The Typing or The House of the Dead, Soul Calibur, Sonic Adventure, Sword of the Berserk, Powerstone, and Ready 2 Rumble Boxing just to name a few. Thank you Sega, I’m still waiting for the Dreamcast 2.

Happy 15th Anniversary Dreamcast

This was originally posted back on January 29, 2014.
I have been collecting for this system for over 7 months now
and have been loving every moment of it!
Since today is officially the day (for NA fans) - I decided to update this post with
what I have acquired since January!
Thanks for all the love on this post, and please if you happen to have
a Dreamcast collection as well - add a picture of it here or
better yet make a post for it! I'd love to see*!
